Coniraya Pernes de Calvados has been striking from the first months of his life with his exceptionally fine and uniform fiber. Today, test results confirm what was already evident during the live judging – he is a male with exceptional breeding potential.

His mother, Coniraya Leviathan’s Pretty Persephone, is one of the most promising females of the younger generation in our breeding farm. The daughter of CCNF Leviathan and TAG Peruvian Pretty Pandora, she achieved top placements at fleece shows even as a young alpaca, and her fiber maintained excellent fineness and uniformity over the years.

Pernes’s father is Xanadu Calvados – a male who has been a pillar of our breeding farm for years. A multiple champion and winner of Judges’ Choice titles, he is known for passing on excellent fiber quality, correct conformation, and exceptionally strong breeding traits to his offspring.

Pernes inherited the best of his parents. His fleece performance is distinguished not only by its low fiber diameter but, above all, by its high uniformity, which is crucial both for the fiber’s usability and for its long-term breeding value. These are precisely the parameters increasingly sought by breeders building flocks based on quality, not solely on show success.

He represents a young generation that combines proven American genetics from Snowmass, Accoyo, and CCNF with years of breeding work conducted at Coniraya. We are watching his further development with great interest and believe he will play an important role in our breeding program in the future.
