When looking for Red Granites Pallaton, I had clearly defined parameters, I knew exactly what my dream male should look like, the male that should now join our breeding. To tell the truth, I did not believe that I could find exactly what I dreamed of.
I am extremely grateful to KJ Alpacas for allowing me to take Pallaton to Poland.
Pallaton is a male with an ideal, strong body build and a fleece unusual for a dark brown alpaca (at two shows he won the title of the best male of the show and he lost by a hair to a fawn male).
The Pallaton fleece is very dense, extremely even and thin (at 5 years old 21.7 microns and MC 54.9 ) and his polar weighs about 2 kg a year.
The male is a proven stud, the father of over twenty cria, ranging in color from medium fawn through brown to black.
His most famous descendant is Pallaton’s Kane Alyst, Champion Brown of the Majestic Alpaca Showcase 2021 and The Best Brown at Canadian Western Agribition 2021.
When it comes to his pedigree, it is breathtaking, it is a great history of over 30 years of breeding alpacas in the USA.
The ancestors of Pallaton are: unique and unbelievable Snowmass Quechua, 4Peruvian Legacy the most expensive stud in the USA (1,5mln dolars), Pperuvian Caligula whom Mike Safley considered one of the two next to Hemingwaya the most important males in the USA, 4Peruvian Legacy and 4Peruvian Pachacuti 6011, Peruvian Felix male of fawn fleece, the darkest male imported from Accoyo in 1994 as well as PPPeruvian Augusto 6009 whose original name was „Kansas, son of Killahuasi”, this is about him in the 1995 letter of Don Julio Barreda – „ I’m sure the Kansas buyer will have reason to be satisfied”.
The father of Pallatona is CCNF Legionnaire eight-time champion, multiple Judges Choice and Get of Sire title winner.
The mother was Red Granites Pepperdine a female light fawn who at 5 years of age still had a 20 micron fleece, daughter of Accoyo Primavera. Pepperdine is almost full Accoyo. Her ancestors come from this breeding farm.
