Together with her husband Paweł, she has been running the Coniraya centre for fifteen years, and alpacas joined it over nine years ago.

A true alpaca lover, she has participated in and completed almost thirty courses and trainings around the world since 2013, including in the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Austria and, of course, Peru.

She consistently gained knowledge about alpaca breeding from the world’s best experts, participating, among others, in a seventeen-day Alpaca Breeder Education course together with Advanced Alpaca Breeder Education led by Amanda VandenBosch.

She also developed her passion by participating in many veterinary conferences and courses in Europe and the United States.

For several years now, she has been sharing her knowledge as an expert, organizing courses and seminars for people who, like her, have fallen in love with alpacas and want to start responsibly breeding these extraordinary animals.

Her professional approach to alpaca breeding and husbandry has also been noticed at the University of Krakow, which is why since 2018, together with Dr. Agnieszka Jakubowska, she has been running a faculty for veterinary students at the University Centre of Veterinary Medicine of the Jagiellonian University–Urban University of Technology on alpaca breeding and diseases.

Since 2019, as a member of the board and from 2022 as vice-president of the Polish Alpaca Breeders Association, she has been offering her experience and knowledge.

Since 2017, she has been organizing the Fleece Show for the Polish Association of Horse Breeders (PZHA).

Joanna, in cooperation with Arturo Pena, developed the Alpaca Standard for the PZHA.

She is the co-author of a series of articles entitled Alpacas – a new breeding species in Poland, published in Życie Weterynaryjne.

She likes to share not only her passion, but also the results of her work and commitment to responsible breeding, providing advice on alpaca breeding and husbandry.

She has participated in many alpaca exhibitions around the world, including as a ring steward at the national show in the United States.

Joanna, who runs the Coniraya center with her husband, not only shares her extensive knowledge about breeding adorable animals, such as alpacas, but also consistently improves her skills as an expert.

In December 2022, she began a judging course at the Alpaca Owners Association.
