Description:
Coniraya Van Dijk is a male alpaca born here in September 2021.
His parents are FDA Snow Sage daughter of Rembrandt and CCNF Leviathan.
Van Dijk became Champion Fawn in 2022 with 81 points at the 4th Fleece Show of the Polish Alpaca Breeders Association.
In 2023, Champion Fawn & Judges Choice with 86 points at the 5th Fleece Show of the Polish Alpaca Breeders Association and The best Huacaya Fleece & Champion Fawn with an incredible number of 92 points at the Schweizer Alpakashow in Switzerland.
One of the most important characteristics of alpaca’s fleece which we want to achieve by breeding is alignment. Next to density, this is the most valuable and most difficult to obtain.
Van Dijk’s polar from last year was outstanding in alignment and in every respect.
I recently received this year’s test results for the third for Van Dijk’s rune.
I took samples from the thigh, upper limb and from the place where we usually take the sample, the mid-side.
The results exceeded my expectations.
The fiber in these three places differs from each other by 0.3 microns (usually the difference is 2 microns). The standard deviation (SD) ranges from 3.6 to 3.8 at the upper limb.
All three samples are in the superfine category and the comfort factor is 99.5%.
